Botanical Name: Brunnera macrophylla 'Alexander's Great'
Large, attractive heart shaped leaves are silver with green veins; pretty blue flowers in spring; makes a nice accent in containers and lightens up shade gardens; avoid hot afternoon sun.
Alexander's Great Bugloss will grow to be about 12 inches tall at maturity, with a spread of 28 inches. When grown in masses or used as a bedding plant, individual plants should be spaced approximately 18 inches apart. It grows at a medium rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 10 years.
This plant does best in partial shade to shade.
